This may not seem like big news to you, but it sure is to me! If y'all
read my blog earlier this week, I was formerly known as ....
THE PLANT ASSASSIN!
I have been reforming myself slowly, but surely. This is my latest
success story. I planted some sunflower seeds recently, and now they
have sprouted. So excited!
I know that most kids can do this, but for me this is major botanical
accomplishment ;-). This little guy is almost 1 and 1/2 inches tall.
I will be measuring him every Friday. In the meantime, I will be
checking on him a couple of times a day to see if he needs anything
at all.
Grow tall little seedling, grow tall!
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
This IS exciting news! I’ll tell you what, when my carrot seeds sprouted I was over the moon! I will be looking forward to watching your seedling turn into a magnificent bloom.
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more like I kid I become. The simple pleasures like feeding the birds, taking Bentley for a walk, planting seeds and watching them grow, bring the greatest happiness!
DeleteI know how you feel. I planted Hollyhock seeds, last year, and nothing happened. This year I see maybe 2 inches have sprouted. So like you, I am hoping for the best. It's a start. Hollyhocks remind me of my childhood, when I used to make dolls out of the flowers that grew along side of our house. My mother didn't have to do anything with them, they just grew all on their own. We'll see...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your Hollyhocks, Bonnie! Such pretty flowers. I am sending them grow tall and healthy messages!!
DeleteCONGRATS, Susan! :) I know this joy.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteJust don't block his/her sun when you are checking multiple times a day. LOL Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI'll do it!
DeleteAs a reformed asassin myself, I can appreciate your zeal! Rock on, sister!🌻🌻🌻
ReplyDeleteJust one more thing we have in common, dear friend!

Thank you so much!
DeleteI just came across your blog and have read so many of your posts. I love, love, love your She Shed. I want one soooo badly but the hubby already has 2 outbuildings in the back and I don't know where we would put another one. I was blogging for awhile, then gave it up for about 3 years but have recently started back. I don't have a big audience and often struggle with what to write about, so I identified with your recent post asking what people wanted to read about. I had to finally accept that my blog was for me to (1) write down things I want to remember and (2) just to get my "writing fix" from time to time. Your blog is great, so whatever you are doing I would say "just keep on keepin' on!) Maybe you can visit my blog sometimes: www.cherischatter.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheri! Blogging can be fun, and sometimes it's hard to do as well. I feel more relaxed about blogging now and don't try to keep up with others, just sail my own boat. Try that for a while and see if you find your voice. I will stop by your blog and pay you a visit. Thanks so much for visiting me!
