I have this little sewing machine. It's not actually a miniature
but it's a music box.
It reminds me of the vintage treadle sewing machine that my
grandmother and great grandmother had.
I taught myself to sew when I was in my teens and I remember
spending many hours up in our attic sewing room happily
sewing away on my machine and listening to my favorite music.
This sweet little remnant of vintage pink roses is printed on
the cutest crinkly fabric. I wish there was more of it, but there
were only a few scraps I found at a thrift shop mixed in with some
other remnants.
Have a Happy Pink Day ~ and don't forget to visit
Bentley ~ I bought a gallon of Beach House Blue for the living
room. I'm going to start painting. Be careful not to get any paint
on your whiskers!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
It's a cute little sewing machine, it does look like the older vintage ones.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed making dresses when I was younger, sadly no more, just a few repairs now and again.
Bentley will be a good paint helper !

Such an adorable setting. My grandmother was an expert seamstress but didn't teach me how to sew. However, I purchased a machine not to long ago and I'm having a ball making things for the house. Loving it!
