Accessorizing Kitchen Counters

I spent some time decorating a counter in my kitchen  today.  It's an area
where I don't do any prep work, so I just had fun with it.

This miniature armoire is something I found in a thrift shop.
I painted it and then I found little miniature fruits and veggies to
tuck inside and on top.

I often use a bit of sherry in cooking so I tucked a bottle in a wine basket
and set it along side a couple of demi johns.

That tiny tea pot was a gift from a friend.  It is shaped like a little radish
and has always been a favorite of mine.

Bentley is on high alert ~ the squirrels have been crazy
busy lately.

Susan and Bentley

  1. Love it, sister. The equestrian themed tray is my favorite!
Bentley, squirrel chasing must be so fun! Aunt, Robin...

  2. Okay, on second look the tray has a bird on it! No more wine for me!!! lol

    1. Okay Robin ~ I am officially cutting you off (tee hee)!

  3. It looks like you had fun and also accomplished a sweet vignette. I especially appreciate the miniature display.

  4. Susan, we have such limited counter space, that I don't have room for a kitchen vignette. Wish I did. ;-)
Enjoyed seeing what you did. ~ Sarah

  5. Like your kitchen vignette and I also like the little tea pot. Poor Bentley is going to be exhausted chasing those squirrels . They must be getting ready for winter gathering their food.

  6. I like what you did on your kitchen counters -- and that little armoire is adorable.

  7. Love your style..!! Mollie is going crazy as well..The squirrels are very active!!

  8. How cute! I have a miniature armoire but never thought about putting it in the kitchen! I think I'll try it there! Stay tuned....hehee! Hugs!

  9. Such a cute little armoire. The squirrels have been crazy here, too. We are forecast to have a really harsh winter. Oh boy!!!!! xo Laura

  10. Gorgeous vignette. Love your demi-johns and that little hutch is just the cutest. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
