Primping the Front Porch For Spring

I am always so anxious to decorate my front porch when spring arrives.
Unfortunately it has been very breezy and it has been raining most every day.
So all I have been able to do so far is gather up the elements.

I painted and decoupaged this old TV tray.  I showed you that a few days
ago.  I think it will be fun to use for serving iced tea, etc.

Birdcages and cachepots.

I painted my Grandmother's old cranberry scoop and filled it with some
artificial ivy for now.  I need to get to the garden shop for the real thing.
Oh, and I added this little thrift shop plate too.  I plan to hang the scoop on
the wall behind Grandma's old rocker.

Several years ago I hand painted this little bird house.  It has weathered and aged
and I think I like it better now than I did when it was freshly painted.

That's all for now.  Can't wait to put all the elements together and present
the reveal.  Have a great weekend!

It's time for my favorite party of the week ~

Bentley, let's stay inside and clean the house today.  Maybe if the
rain lets up this afternoon, we will walk over to that new flower shop
called Blooms.  I am so anxious to see it!

Susan and Bentley

  1. Hi Susan and Bently,

Everything for your porch is adorable, charming and very Springy.
    Have fun decorating,
    Erin and Bentley

  2. I love gathering up items to change out a room or an area in the house. It's part of the fun. I always seem to "find" something that I forgot I had :-) You have there all the ingredients that will yield a wonderfully springtime porch.

  3. My front porch is about the size of a postage stamp. Boo hoo! I want a pretty porch. I'm working on the back one. But it's laid out so funny, and not very big either, that it's hard to put furniture on it.

  4. You have great ideas and when it is all done, you will be proud. Nice post.

  5. Love the bird cage and little pot. I am all about some porches being Southern.

  6. Susan, such beautiful arrangements! I love the ivy and plate in the pot. Thank you for the inspiration!

  7. it looks beautiful and so serene , Susan.

thank you for sharing it with us

  8. Beautiful selection of items and very Springy.

  9. Happy Pink Saturday! Some great "stuff" you have there. I especially like the little bird. But all of it is neat. Enjoyed your post!

  10. Your tray is so cute! I don't have a big front porch here...just enough room for a flower pot! But your post has me looking forward to the warm weather, especially the packets of flower seeds!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  11. Oh, my gosh, I just threw out my old TV tray set! I could have fixed the trays up and used them. I never thought of it. Duh......

  12. Everything is so pretty! I especially love the cushion and the plate :)

  13. Mine is a mess! Can't wait to see what all you pull together for yours!

  14. I hope you get a chance to check out the new flower shop today! The weather has been so unpredictable lately. I love all your pretty pinks! Happy Pink Saturday! Have a wonderful weekend!

  15. Hi Susan, what a beautiful porch you are going to have! Love all that you did..have a wonderful weekend!

  16. When we had the WARM temps a couple of weeks ago I decirated my porch for Spring and am enjoying it, even though we are now cold again, and drizzly:(:( Today it feels RAW outside, boo hoo....Can't wait to see your porch. XO, Pinky

  17. Purely gorgeous!

Visiting a little late for Pink Saturday. My entry is a product of creativity. Have a great weekend!

  18. Susan you are so like me. I can't wait to decorate the front porch for spring. But alas, it has been rainy and windy here too.
I love the elements that you will decorate with and can hardly wait to see ;-)
    to you and Bentley

  19. You always have such pretty pictures. My mother had that green flower pot for many years. My sister now has it.......I've always wanted it...haha. Thanks for sharing & inspiring.
