The Hutch in My Studio

Here it is ~ the finished child~size hutch in my studio.
I had so much fun refurbishing and decorating this.  I decided
against papering behind all of the shelves and just added the
striped paper as an accent to the bottom shelf.

I filled the shelves with little things I love.  Things that inspire
me.  This mini wicker set is from my childhood.  I made the
little pin  cushion that sits on top of the table.

This is one of my favorite Beatrix Potter books.  I love Beatrix so much
that I named my Mini Cooper after her.

That is a vintage deck of cards on that little easel.  I just love
the graphics don't you?

Some vintage buttons my Mom gave me.

My favorite vintage chippy green tool box is now storing
craft paints and water colors.

I still have a lot more work to do on my studio.  I'll keep
posting the progress.  No matter how big or small your creative
space may be (mine is not that big), it's so important to keep
your inner child alive and to never forget that ~

It Is Never Too Late To Be What You Might Have Been!
Thanks Mary Engelbreit, you are my hero.

Happily Joining ~

Okay Bentley ~ lets put your harness on and go visit
grandma.  She is busy decorating her kitchen and dining
room.  Can't wait to see what she has created!

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  2. Good Evening Susan, I love how you have set out your dresser with things which you love and so prettily too. My daughters loved Beatrix Potter and we used to read the stories to them as children. Have you seen the film about the life of Beatrix Potter, it is lovely and well worth watching. Enjoy your day, Best Wishes Daphne

  18. How nice that you've incorporated special things from your past to use and enjoy now. I love all your pretty pink and red thigns and the cottage look you are going for. I'll be interested in seeing the whole room since I'm trying to get my craft space organized and it's very small too. Thanks for stopping by my blog and enjoying the wreath. Looks like you'll be able to make one in your crafty area soon now that you're getting everything arranged so nicely. I'm a little envious of your doll house from your last post. I see those and always want one, yet I don't have room for it in the house. Maybe someday......
