  18. Susan . . . I have thoroughly enjoyed your miniature creations for a couple of years now . . . you do a marvelous job and the vignettes you create are very inspiring. I hand stitch tiny doll dresses for the vintage 8" "Muffy" dolls. The dresses are only about 4" tall and I often make a complete line of accessories (apron, hats, purses, boleros). I love the reason you give for your enjoyment of miniatures . . . "Puts me in another world." That's well said. Thank you for your posts, Susan . . . I love following your blog.

  22. Ohj! Sooooooo sweet!!!!
I love this post! It takes me back to when I was little.
One Christmas my father made my little sister and I a big doll house. My mother made all the little furniture. Little doll beds with quilts and pillows. She bought each of us a Barbie Doll and made all the doll clothes. They couldn't afford to buy us the fancy Barbie cases..... so she made each of us one from shoe boxes. It is by far.... my most memorable Christmas. Back then my parents were young and didn't have much money. They were afraid we would feel jipped or slighted at Christmas time..... when in fact it was the best Christmas I ever had!!
    Thanks for sharing!
