Cloche Challenged But I Can Tweak

Okay ~ I am almost embarrassed to show you this but I so wanted
to join Marty's cloche party.  I know, you don't have to tell me ~
it's pretty weak isn't it?  When they were handing out cloche creation
genes I think I was shorted!

But ...

I think I can tweak.  This is my herb garden potting bench from
last spring.  I had a brainstorm and decided to move it to the
front porch to set up a fall display.

So here it is. That old dresser is a little bit chippier since it's been
sitting out in the elements all summer, but I think it adds to
the spookiness of Halloween don't you think?

I bet the squirrels are up in the walnut trees right now watching me.
They are no doubt thinking that they can feast on the pumpkins and
squash as soon as Bentley and I go inside.  Trust me ~ I KNOW
HOW THEY THINK!

Oh well, I wish I could create a great cloche to wow you, but I am
afraid that just isn't going to happen.

Maybe I can convince this crow to coax a good witch to stop by
and cast a magic cloche creating spell on me.  I wonder if it would
help if I found some sparkly red shoes, put them on and clicked my
heels and said "I now have cloche creating ability".  Bentley,
do you think that would help?

So here goes ~ I am joining

and if no one looks too closely at my cloche I'll join
Wow Us Wednesday
and last but certainly not least
Debbie's Power of Pinterest Party

Bentley ~ honest, I do not think there is a cat or a squirrel in the
potting shed!  When your daddy gets home we will all check it
out together.  Bentley still does not believe me.

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  8. have you heard the trick to keep squirrels from eating your pumpkins? I read to spray the pumpkins with hairspray. When they try to eat it they taste/smell the hairspray and leave it alone. hae not tried yet, but it should work

  13. I love your vignette with the crisp white mixed with the blacks and oranges of Halloween. Your potting bench has aged perfectly and I like it better this way! You do have good tastes....I have a very similar birdhouse like the one the crow is on. Thanks for sharing this area of your home and tell Bentley I hope he's safe from all those wild and scary creatures!

  25. You did great - very pretty! Squirrels are the reason I don't have bird feeders. We are over populated with them around here. :/
